Officer, QTS Merchant Relationship Development Post Date: 10 Feb 09Responsibilities
Execute merchant acquisition and retention programmes for the Quality Tourism Services (QTS) Scheme in order to achieve and exceed the present merchant acquisition and retention targets
To achieve the assigned revenue targets through promotion of various chargeable services, advertising space and motivating merchants to join chargeable programs organized by HKTB
Enhance good relationship with the service providers so as to solicit new merchant acquisition opportunities
Provide assistance to merchants in completing all the required application procedures to join the scheme, including the collection of all the required documents
Collect all relevant trade pulse for management¡¦s future strategic review
Maintain good partnership relations with relevant tourism-related parties including government bodies, relevant trade associations and chain stores if required
Solicit merchants' support for ad hoc projects, promotion and marketing programmes organized by HKTB
Requirements:
University / tertiary education with 2 to 4 years experience in sales and marketing, ideally in tourism industry
Good networking and relationship with the tourism trade (e.g. retail, catering, etc)
Creative mind and result oriented person, strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills required
Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills for fostering good relationship with merchants and trade proactively
Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese
Willing to work outdoor and under pressure
The successful candidate will be engaged on 2-years contract terms.
