TITLE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT LIFE ACTUARY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be the Product Development, responsible for the development of new products to broaden the range, as well as ensuring that existing products are competitively priced.
Develop new product propositions for the broker market in conjunction with Senior Management, reflecting the company’s emphasis on manufactured protection and protected investment products.
Develop and maintain appropriate financial models for profit testing and pricing work.
Ensure all policy illustrations are provided in accordance with regulations, and provide advice in respect of underwriting standards, policyholder taxation legislation and policy documentation, so that the products are compliant with relevant external requirements.
Monitor experience in order to set and review the pricing basis. Monitor profitability on an ongoing basis.
Monitor and analyse competitor product offerings and market initiatives.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Applications are invited from nearly qualified actuaries or newly qualified actuaries with up to 3 years post qualification experience.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Experience in the product development function of a life company.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at all levels.
The ability to motivate, manage and coach a team.
Ambitious, motivated, eager to develop within a team environment.
Very strong academic track record.
Experience in multi-disciplinary projects.
