Officer, Conventions Apr 09Responsibilities:
Generate and qualify leads with potential to bring potential convention business to Hong Kong through contacts with local and overseas association contacts
Ensure efficient tracking and monitoring of leads progress and performance measurement.
Assist executives in rendering attendance generation and experience enhancement offering/support to convention organizers and to work with overseas offices to maximize promotional channels for international events held in Hong Kong
Regularly conduct desk research and database analysis and prepare market analysis reports for strategic planning purpose
Update and enhancement of Association and Societies database and support in promotional activities
Provide administrative support to the Conventions team
Requirements:
University graduate with 2 years of working experience in client liaison, especially with professional bodies and public sectors
Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Mandarin is preferred.
Able to work independently, be self-motivated and strong team player
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills will be definitely an asset
Proficiency in computer skills for research and database management is essential
The successful candidate will be engaged on contract terms for 3 years.
