REQUIREMENTS:
qualified actuary, with 3 to 7 years post qualification experience; thorough knowledge of the domestic life and pensions market; possesses necessary experience for working in a cross functional environment; able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The major emphasis will be in relation to the development & pricing of innovative new Life & Pension products & funds that enhance the Company’s existing product range. This will entail involvement in all aspects of the Product Development Process:
liaison with marketing department & sales channels to propose & initiate new product designs; presentation of business cases for proposed new products to Senior Management for consideration & approval; adopting a proactive role in developing project plans for each product launch & managing the achievement of key project milestones; development & maintenance of financial models for profit testing & pricing work & stochastic models for the pricing of investment guarantees; proposal of assumptions for use in pricing & preparation of Pricing Reports in line with Corporate standards; consultation with Investment Banks, Reinsurers & Actuarial Consultants to source information & input on product-related issues; interaction with Fund Managers & Investment Accounting department to ensure that new investment funds are established & priced in an accurate manner; drafting technical specifications for new products; ensuring that IS developments are undertaken to facilitate accurate & efficient quotation capabilities & administration of new products; liaison with Marketing & Legal departments to ensure all policy illustrations, documentation & marketing literature are compliant with relevant legislation & satisfy PRE requirements.
