Technical Support Engineer - Banking & Financial Services (25K - 35K) Sep 08Our client, a well respected and global financial services provider for over thousands of financial institutions, is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to provide 1st to 2nd level support on the networking system to the top banking clients & customers across the APAC region with a hub dedicated at Hong Kong, in order to stay in the dominant position they hold in the market.

Working closely with the local and overseas colleagues, you will liaise with different internal parties in order to troubleshoot and resolve the critical networking technical problems from the customer on a timely manner via phone, web and email, in accordance with the service level agreement & key performance indicators. You will also actively monitor the quality of problem escalation to the relevant data centre of expertise and manage client relationships from an operational and technical aspect. In addition, you will involve in medium to large servicing projects consultation, planning, execution and revision to ensure an excellent service quality to the customers / vendors / partners.

You should be a fluent to native English speaking IT degree holder with 4 years customer servicing experience in a similar position within the financial industry, Experience in using SWIFT products will be a definite advantage. You will possess in-depth knowledge of AIX, Solaris, Windows 2000, TCP/IP, routers, VPN, Firewalls. Knowledge in the following area is highly preferred: C, C++, Perl, Java, SWIFTNet products.

You should have the ability to troubleshoot complicated issues to different levels of non-technical business users/clients, thus you should also be equipped with strong communication, customer servicing and decision making skills as well as good problem solving and time management skills.
