Junior Network Engineer Sep 08Our client, a well respected and global financial services provider for over thousands of financial institutions in 200 countries, is seeking an enthusiastic networking engineer to develop and maintain a network among different banks and financial institutions. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn and gain experience in sophisticated banking communication systems and IT workflow within a complex and fast-moving environment. This role is to assist the expansion project of their regional arm across Asia Pacific with a hub dedicated at Hong Kong, in order to stay in the dominant position they hold in the market. They have decided to aggressively expand their headcount in Hong Kong and is urgently seeking a talented candidate to join in their ambitious growth.
Working with the global teams, your main focus would be to participate in monitoring and maintenance of the network infrastructure & identify, analyse and solve problems and issues in a timely manner. In addition, you would also make business critical suggestions on improving the IP architecture system as well as designing and document different networking scenarios.
The institution specifically wants applicants who feel suitably challenged by the role, but equally recognise the right applicant will be capable of growing into a more senior position within the team in time, and therefore requires the right mixture of skills, aptitude, and desire to learn. Applicants should have at least 3 years relevant MNC working experience in telecommunication, electronics or banking / financial institutions with good knowledge of a large-scale networking system in delivering secure IT communications: Cisco IOS, Juniper / Netscreen OS, HP-Unix, with certification in one of the above areas is a definite advantage.
Fluent to native English is a definite must for this role, with the ability to convey technical information to different levels of non-technical business users/clients as well as good problem solving and time management skills.
