HotelClub has a new career opportunity for an experienced Product Director. This is a newly created role managing HotelClub’s product department in our Sydney head office. The Product Director will be responsible for managing a team of Product Managers and Analysts responsible for the development of product strategies and plans for HotelClub product lines.
This team closely collaborates with Business teams including Marketing, Technology, Operations, Finance, Supply departments to develop product, maximize revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
The Product Director will be responsible for establishing the priorities of the overall department and coordinating inputs from a broad cross-functional team. The Product Director also manages the team translating business needs, customer needs and technology directions into product definitions, functional and technical specifications such that the products can be successfully launched into a production environment.
The ideal applicant will have previous extensive experience working on a similar role specialising in leading e-commerce/website product development in a fast paced environment (Online Travel industry experience will be highly regarded). The ability to extract most vital business requirements from management and from market analysis to drive product strategy and business plans is a key requirement for this role as well as expert knowledge of product marketing concepts and techniques and a strong understanding of the web development lifecycle.
This role also requires someone with strong leadership, excellent communication and effective presentation skills. Completion of BA/BS and strong technical skills in Product Management are key requirements for this role.
