Temporary Executive, Event Management Post Date: 22 May 09Responsibilities:
Assist to organize and implement HKTB¡¦s events
Administer all logistics and operational duties for the staging and execution of event components assigned to ensure smooth operation and supervise on-site set up for annual events
Responsible for processing necessary licenses and permits for staging events in compliance with the applicable HK laws and regulations
Identify, select and supervise service contractors / providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services required in accordance to agreed scope of services/ roles and responsibilities
Requirements:
University graduate, preferably in Journalism/Communications disciplines with at least 4 years solid experience in hospitality, MICE or entertainment industry
Strong knowledge of government operation and licensing requirements for event staging in accordance with law of the HKSAR
Extensive contact in the event industry
An initiative, responsible and self-disciplined team player with good presentation, communication & interpersonal skills
Strong organization skills and attentive to details
Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
Strong PC skill in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Project 2000 and Chinese word processing
Immediate available is preferred
The successful candidate will be engaged on contract terms up to 31 March 2010.
