Currently they require a Regional Manager for the Hotel Business to oversee and support the existing team of Market Managers and Coordinators, working with them to build hotel content in the region.
Specifics of the role include:-
-- Leadership of existing team.
-- Ownership and accountability for specific hotel and Travel Extras contracting targets in the Asia market.
-- Ownership and accountability for overall region’s transaction performance and contribution to Hotel team P&L including total bookings, sales and revenue targets.
-- Monitor and analyse weekly sales reports to track progress and performance of partners and markets including and addressing any problems or concerns.
-- Partner with Hotel Operations departments to address content-related or technical issues.
-- Maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders within the business to ensure all relevant objectives are met.
-- Work within the APAC team on regional account strategies, partner targets, etc. Participate in annual supplier/partner contract and performance meetings as necessary.-- Provide expertise in destination, product, marketing and operations to enhance supplier/partner relationships and ensure overall region needs are being met.
To be successful for this role you will have:-
-- An undergraduate degree in a related field. An MBA would be desirable.
-- Minimum 5 years experience working in the travel industry, preferably from a hotel or wholesale background in the APAC markets. You will have worked in sales or business development and have experience successfully building relationships across a region.
-- Minimum 2 years experience leading a sales team setting targets and supporting their successful sales delivery
-- A proven track record developing relationships with a customer base in travel preferably in hotels.
-- Online marketing experience preferred.
-- Knowledge of hotel distribution essential.
-- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills essential.
-- Excellent analytical, communication, organisational, negation and interpersonal skills.
-- Proven ability to meet/exceed targets and deadlines.
-- Exceptional customer service skills.
You will be required to travel 25% of the time.
