Bar & Beverage Manager – Hotel Industry Post Date: 25 Apr 09RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively manages the bar operation
Encourage and motivate staff to provide optimum service during all shifts
Overseeing the implementation of standards as detailed in the departmental standards and procedures manual
Sharing recommendations and guest comments with the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to reflect current customer profile
Development and implementing promotions calendar for beverage products in the bar
Conducting a competitor analysis
Actively pursuing cost saving measures
Being a role model in terms of creativity and salesmanship
Managing wage and beverage cost
Analyzing beverage statistics through point of sale system
REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Hotel or Catering Management or related field
8 years related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, management and suppliers that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
Good writing and leadership skills
