Assistant Accounting Manager The incumbent will work in AIA Regional Investment Accounting Department. A Centre of Excellence accountable for investment accounting working with other investment accounting teams at the local business units in a decentralized model with centralization of certain key activities. A strategic and looking forward business partner to provide investment accounting solution/advice in Asia ex Japan.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and assess process in local branches and recommend solutions to issues.
Develop work streams and related action plans to resolve outstanding issues.
Ensure completeness of reconciliations of general ledger and investment system.
Communicate with local branches on investment accounting issues and ensure resolution.
Coordinate regional other than temporary impairment.
Formalize handoff procedures on investment SI schedules to Reporting Team to merge into the Regional APAC SI package.
Review and sign off on Financial Statements prepared by regions.
Prepare analytics and commentary for MD&A regarding investments.
Coordinate the preparation of NII and Realized Gain/(Loss) projections.
Requirements:
University / College graduate in Accounting
5 to 10 years’ experience in investment accounting (GAAP/IFRS/Regional Regulatory Accounting)
Full knowledge in investment accounting system
Proficient in MS Office Suite of Products a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Those who have more experience will be considered as Accounting Manager.
