Senior Manager/ Associate Director, Advertising Sales Post Date: 28 Mar 09This position is based in Hong Kong.
Working with Managing Director, Asia Pacific, the Senior Manager/ Associate Director, Advertising Sales will be responsible for the following-
Job Duties
Selling Travelzoo's online products and quickly meet advertising revenue goals.
Responsible for producing sales strategies, proposals and presentations for existing and new accounts, building and maintaining relationships, aligning client's sales strategies by positioning Travelzoo's products as a viable target market and successfully partnering with clients to meet their sales and marketing objectives.
You will be selling online advertising campaigns to 5-stars hotel/hotel management companies, airlines, cruise lines, tourism boards and travel agencies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of solid sales experience, ideally from internet/ travel/ media industry
A proven ability to plan, develop, and execute online sales strategies
A successful track record of meeting sales goals and the ability to produce effective sales, particularly in the travel category
Experience in Southern China Region will be a plus
Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills with particular emphasis on presentation, analytical and sales expertise, and negotiation techniques
Ability to achieve results while working independently
Bachelor's degree minimum

Reasonable command in spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua
Reservation experience either in hotels or travel agencies is preferable but not essential
Meticulous and can work on shifts duties at our different branches

Identify “Target Accounts” and proactively seek and secure new sales leads to help achieve sales targets
Conduct telemarketing activities to generate well qualified sales appointments and opportunities
Develop full understanding of FCm’s operations, service and technology products to ensure maximum benefits are conveyed to potential clients
Attend networking and other marketing events to generate potential sales leads
Update sales database and track status of prospective clients contacted
Requirements:
At least half year experience as a telemarketing sales within travel industry
Excellent verbal and written communications skills- Cantonese and English essential.
Mandarin desirable.
