Hotel Assistant General Manager Post Date: 13 May 09Our client, a soon-to-open 4-star hotel in Kunming, is searching for top hoteliers to join their newly established hotel to be opened at the end of the year. The 21-storeys hotel building with the most advanced equipments is set to dominate the hotel industry with its superseding infrastructures as well as professional services.

Hotel Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities:

Setting up and prepare hotel grand opening and all details planning
Prepare opening budget and annual budget
Setup hotel operation, department structure and brand standards
Lead, support and setup departmental duties and responsibilities
Lead, support and setup room and menu pricing
Ensure all facilities setup meet government rule and relevant license
Good connection to government, suppliers and clients to improve efficiency
Build a professional Hotel culture.

Requirements:

University degree in hotel management/hospitality
5 years experience in Hotel Management
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Good in English, Chinese and Mandarin

Reporting to the General Manager in Singapore, you will actively acquire new key accounts, explore and conclude sales opportunities while maintaining existing accounts. You will be responsible for quality quotation and operation including hotels, local services and itinerary aiming at optimizing the services provided to travel agents/corporate clients and profitability to the Group. Working in a small office of a few employees, you will coordinate closely with the regional quotation and operation teams in Hong Kong.

To achieve business target, you will effectively monitor turnover, profit and payment control, while observing tight deadlines.

To qualify for the position, you should possess:

Degree/Diploma holder in business or travel related disciplines
At least 7 years’ hands-on sales experience in tourism related industry, experience with FIT wholesalers is added advantage
Good knowledge of the tourist attractions in Europe
Dynamic personality, highly motivated and flexible
Excellent negotiation & presentation skills
Analytical thinking with a flair for figures & details
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/ written communications skills, ability to speak Cantonese is preferred
Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office applications
